Algarrobina ice lollies

Algarrobina carob syrup is a really popular sweet treat in Peru, and can be added to lots of things to give a wonderful flavour. These ice pops are perfect for a hot day, so pop them in the freezer and wait for the elusive British summer to come out!

Makes 4 x 100ml ice lollies

Ingredients

  • 200ml condensed milk
  • 200ml semi-skimmed milk
  • 1.5 tablespoons algarrobina (black carob syrup)

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Pour the condensed milk and semi-skimmed milk into a container and use a hand blender to whizz together.
  2. Add the algarrobina to it and mix in well.
  3. Pour into moulds and refrigerate for a few hours, preferably overnight. And enjoy!
